6th Founding Anniversay

In a simple ceremony to commemorate the 6th year founding anniversarry of Tabuan-Lasa Municipality, Mayor Muctar Junaid yesterday headed a gift giving to more than two thousand residents of the municipality.

In an interview Junaid claimed that the activity is one way of showing to his residents the gratitude and thanks for the fruitful year installed to the municipality by almighty Allah.

Junaid said that the fourth year as mayor of the town is indeed a challenge for him citing budget constraint which limits the implementation of several infrastructure projects.

However, Junaid was glad with the help of different government agencies in providing funds for infrasture projects in his municipity.

Only this year the local government managed to construct two multi-purpose building, one is for municipal hall and the other is intended for the senior citizen.

The two projects was coming from Vice President Joemar Binay and the other one is from Basilan Congressman Jim Hataman.

Meanwhile, OIC ARMM Regional Gov. Mujiv Hataman also granted a fund that will cater the rehabilitation of delapidated school buildings in the different island in the municipality.

Junaid expressed his sincere gratitude to the government officials for the projects granted to the poor town of Tabuan-Lasa.

“I am deeply touched with the concern of these government officials showed to our municipality, that is why I would like to say thank you for the help” Junaid said.

He also thanked the municipal council led by Vice Mayor for the support in the implementation of government projects.

meanwhile, the mayor vowed to continue in pursuing development and appealing to his constituents the relentless support on the implementation of his programs.
